Persona 4 Revival romance: who you can romance and Golden rules

Persona 4 Revival is a remake of Persona 4 Golden, developed by P-Studio on Unreal Engine 5 and published by SEGA worldwide with a confirmed release date of 2027-02-18. ATLUS has confirmed a new English voice cast for the five named Investigation Team party associates and has confirmed the Social Link system that underpins romance. In Persona 4 Golden, the protagonist can romance the female party members, the female supporting-cast Social Links, and Marie. The full list of romance options in P4G includes Yukiko Amagi, Chie Satonaka, Rise Kujikawa, Naoto Shirogane, and Marie, plus the female supporting-cast Social Links such as Ayane Yano, Yumi Ozawa, and Ai Ebihara. The male party members, including Yosuke, Kanji, and Teddie, are not romance options for the male protagonist in P4G.

How romance works inside Social Links

Romance in P4G is gated by the Social Link system. The protagonist chooses dialogue options that match the romance flag at multiple points across the Social Link's ten ranks, and reaching Rank 10 with the right flags unlocks a romantic reversal scene and locks the protagonist into that relationship for the rest of the playthrough. The Velvet Room fusion bonuses that the Social Link grants are unaffected by the romance flag.

Schedule considerations

Each romance-capable Social Link has a schedule tied to weather, day of week, and time slot, and the calendar / weather rules for P4R have not been confirmed. The Golden-era multi-romance warning

In Persona 4 Golden, ranking up multiple romance-capable Social Links triggers a confrontation scene in December that warns the protagonist to make a choice before the True ending path. If the protagonist keeps multiple romance flags active past the December cutoff, the True ending is locked and the game forces the Accomplice (Jester) ending route instead.
